All of our Men’s teams in action this weekend, whilst the Ladies 5th XI are the only girls team playing due to the Notts Sport Inter District weekend.
Clydesdale 1st XI are away at Peffermill to take on an ever changing Edinburgh University from 4.00pm. ‘Dale 1s have had a difficult start to the season so far facing last season’s top two sides, Grange and Kelburne. On both occasions our boys were defeated, but the performance from the Kelburne game has left much encouragement. Add in the return of one of last season’s key players, Danny Cain, the boys will be hoping for all three points. In their way is an Edinburgh University side that have faced a lot of big name departures but still hold some key ones including former Clydesdale players such as newly transferred Jack Jamieson and Gordon Amour.
In other games, the Men’s 2s and 3s, who both have had excellent starts to the season face testing opposition. The 2s take on Grange 3s at Titwood from 3.00pm, whilst the 3s play away to Uddingston 3s from 10.30am. The 4s, in a similar vain of form, play at home to Greenock 2s (1.30pm start) and the 5s are away to Giffnock 3s (3.00pm start). The Ladies 5s are away to Ayr 2s from 2.00pm.
