On Saturday, Milne Craig Clydesdale Western 1st XI will face Dundee Wanderers at Bell’s Sports Centre in Perth from 4.00pm in the Final of the Women’s National Indoor League. The winner will be crowned Indoor Champions for the 2017-18 Indoor season and qualify for European competition next season.
There will be a full programme of hockey on all day at Bell’s with championships, promotion and relegation places to be decided. For fans of the indoor game, this will be a feast of hockey to enjoy.
Clydesdale Western 1st XI contest the Final against Dundee Wanderers for the third time in four years, but this year the team has many new faces. Youngsters Bronwyn Shields, Kayleigh & Margery Justice and goalkeeper Jessica Buchanan are all fresh to the challenge and join the more experienced Alison Eadie, Millie and Holly Steiger, Frances Lonergan, Susie Gillman and indoor captain Laura Mann. The squad has been working hard this winter under the careful direction of Peter Justice. Many thanks to Hutchesons Grammar for the use of their indoor hall during the season.
Best of luck to the girls on Saturday. The girls would welcome any support, so if you’re interested, please attend the Grand Final at Bell’s and cheer on our girls!
