Post: COVID-19 – Club Statement – 1st June

Monday 1st June – COVID-19 – Club Statement

Please find below the latest club statement from our Club President regarding the ongoing COVID-19 situation.

Dear All,

The two sections (cricket and hockey) are busy planning for potential scenarios to resume sport in some capacity when allowed. We are second guessing what might be permitted but are aiming to respond quickly should the opportunity arise.

There was a flutter of emails last week following Nicola Sturgeon’s announcement but we have confirmed that Thursday’s relaxation of the restrictions does not cover our two sports. Clydesdale facilities/pitches are still closed for all sporting and recreational activities. There is no change.

I am aware how frustrating this must be, but I would ask all of you to respect that decision in the interests of everyone’s health and safety.

We will only relax these restrictions in accordance with the advice from Cricket Scotland and Scottish Hockey. And this will be carefully planned to ensure everybody’s safety.

I will let you know when there is any relaxation.

Keep safe and well.

Craig Madden
