Under 18 success for boys and girls in cup/plate double

The boys won 6 – 1 in what turned out to be an excellent display of fast and effective passing. Having taken a 6 goal lead the result was in no doubt as Perthshire scored their goal toward the end of the game. Goals from Murray Colins (4), Chris Mcfadden and John Joe Lonergan.

The girls showed early pressure with a number of near misses including a strike off the post but we had to wait to nearer half time for the deadlock to be broken. With a one nil lead the girls started the second half with confidence to stretch the lead to three. Again a late goal gave Inverleith some hope but it was too little too late.

They will now face Grange on March 2nd for a place in the semi-final.

The Girls lost their first game 5-2 to a strong Cala Edinburgh Hockey Club side and will need to pick up points versus Inverleith and Kelso in their group.
