Post: Firsts beaten by Hillhead

On Friday night Hillhead defeated PSL Clydesdale 3-2, the first team’s first defeat of the season. Hillhead started brightly pressing well and Dan Chancellor scored to put them 1-0 up. Clydesdale slowly came  back into the game and controlling possession as half time came. In the second half Clydesdale continued to have the bulk of the ball and equalised from a Cairan Crawford corner. Hillhead were very bright on the counter but failed to convert a number of chances before winning a penalty stroke and with ten minutes to go, Andy Hilton converted. Clydesdale came back and scored another short corner and kept pressing into the final minutes winning another corner with 2 minutes to go. Ciaran’s flick was saved and Fraser Hirst volleyed the rebound over the bar. From the restart Hillhead attacked and got the ball into the Clydesdale “D” and won their own corner with only seconds on the clock. Hillhead scored through Paul Crooks and won a pulsating game 3-2.
