Post: Double header weekend

Both Men’s and Ladies’ first teams have important double headers this weekend in the league and M2s & M3s have cup semi-finals in Edinburgh on Sunday.

Last Sunday Milne Craig Clydesdale Western suffer their first defeat of the season going down 1-0 to Edinburgh at Peffermill. In a tight game Susan  Mcgilveray missed an opportunity from the spot before a Louise Campbell goal settled things in favour of the students. The girls have an opportunity to make amends this weekend with two games,  firstly on Saturday 2.30 at Titwood  vs Hillhead and on Sunday  vs Western Wildcats, same time and venue.

Stuart Banford’s tenure as coach of M1s got  off to  a great start as Clydesdale M1s secured their second win of the season.  Goals from Struan Walker and Danny Cain gave them a two goal half time lead. Uddingston converted  a short corner early in the second half  but the boys held on for an important win.  This weekend’s  games are equally important starting  at home on Saturday  vs Watonsonians at 16.00 who sit in eighth place but just two points above Clydesdale and Sunday sees the boys head of to Peffermill to face Edinburgh University who are in fourth place but only five points ahead of Clydesdale. This is a big weekend  for all the teams in the bottom half of the table.

It’s a big day out at Peffermill on Sunday as the M3s and M2s  both have cup semi finals vs Grange. M3s on at 12.00 and M2s at 16.00.

Best wishes to all teams.
