Milne Craig Clydesdale Western have started the season in fine form with two big wins 8-2 vs Erskine Stewart’s Melville and an impressive 11-0 win vs Hillhead. The girls sit at the top of the league on goal difference from Grove Menzieshill. Great start. This Saturday the girls face Dundee Wanders at Titwood at 4.00pm.
Its a double header this weekend with the girls playing Gordonians in the Scottish Cup at 12.30 on Sunday.
The Ladies u16/u18 inter- district were on last weekend and the West won both age groups. Clydesdale Western girls made a great contribution to both squads and also featured in the South West squad who finished in the runners up spot in the u18 competition.
The boys have had a tough start, going down 5-1 to Edinburgh Uni at the start of the season and suffered a 2-6 reverse at Watsonians at Peffermill last weekend. The boys next match is this Friday’s vs Uddingston at Titwood starting at 8.00 pm and they play Cala in the cup on Sunday 2.30.
