76 pupils making up 11 teams from Langside Primary, Shawlands Primary, Pollokshields Primary and Riverside Primary attended the Spring Primary Schools Festival at Titwood on Wed 2nd April. The teams competed in a round robin format and thoroughly enjoyed their time on a windy but thankfully dry day at Titwood .
The event was the climax of the “Club to School” links programme which has seen the club’s coaches deliver coaching sessions to pupils between P5 and P7 on a regular basis . The event was a huge success, with all students having a fantastic time.
Many thanks must go to the Clydesdale members who helped make the event such a success, along with support from Glasgow Clyde College (South) and Shawlands Academy students who assisted as part of their school hockey programme. These students assisted as part of their course work to deliver hockey programmes and Clydesdale have been working with the College throughout the season to help the students awareness and delivery of hockey.
