Post: League programme finishes, play-offs up next.

The Men’s first team finished their regular  league programme with a 2-2 draw with Hillhead at Glasgow Green. With a top four finish no longer possible there was an opportunity to play some of the younger players and three players made their first team debuts, James Nairn, Dean Baber and Chris McFadden. The team start brightly taking the game to Hillhead  and after 5 minutes Archie Breckenbridge set up Ciaran Crawford with a tap in. As the half progressed Hillhead found their rhythm and had a larger share of possession, a converted PC and FG just before half time made the score 2-1 to the home team. Clydesdale started the second half positively and mid way through the half equalized with a PC converted by Ciaran Crawford.  There were chances at both ends for a winner in what was an open game. Clydesdale finished strongly and won two short corners near the end but neither Peter Baldwin or Murray Collins were able to convert. Overall it was a very encouraging performance by the team.

Next comes the play offs with four games over the next two weekends will decide the final placings and relegation.
