Summer Hockey Report
The Summer hockey proved to be an outstanding success with record numbers (160) which was helped by the great weather. We are now taking bookings for the Autumn camp. See bottom of this page for a form. Due to space limitations and the potential issues with weather we wish to limit numbers to 80 so please book early to avoid disappointment.
West District Under 13 Squad - Nottingham June2008
4 boys from 'Dale played for the district and helped them to a very succesful weekend and win Silver medals.
Under 14 Scottish Cup June 2008
After a faultering start in the first match against Dundee Wanderers the 'Dale kids got there act together and comfortable won the next two games. This placed them in 2nd place of the section. The semi-final was then with Kelburne which proved to be the toughest match of the day for both teams. Kelurne ran out narrow winners by 2 goals to 1.
The 'Dale kids played extremely well and every player played up a level but lady luck was not with us on this occassion.
It is now the end of the season and training is being wound down. We will restart in August so watch out for the dates as I spend the next fews weeks putting together a plan.

Clydesdale's Aims
Clydesdale Hockey Club is active at promoting the sport of hockey to as many young people as possible. The Club actively supports local community clubs and teams based at the local schools and encourages the take up of the sport where a tradition of hockey playing may or may not exist.
Clydesdale Hockey Club supports community hockey clubs at various schools and academys and would be very interested in supporting other groups wishing to start playing hockey in the south side of the city.
The Club actively supports the efforts of the SHU West District by entering teams in junior outdoor hockey festivals and indoor competitions that run throughout the season. The schedule of these events are detailed below on this page.
The club also works closely with Glasgow City Council, School of Sport and Scottish Hockey Union to achieve the highest standards we can.
All of our coaches are qualified or are working towards a qualification. Combining qualification with experience produces the best possible learning environment for children to learn. Safety is paramount as expressed in our Child Protection Policy.
Whilst we are doing all of the above we remember that FUN is very important. We try our best to ensure playing hockey at Clydesdale is FUN as well as a learning and achieving experience. We provide the opportunity to be the best you can be.
