Junior Training

    Clydesdale's aims

  • Clydesdale provides a pathway for juniors to progress from beginner to senior hockey player. This is done by offering training sessions to beginners, intermediates and advanced juniors as listed below.

  • To register please enrole via the attached link Membership Registration (under 18's).
  • Outdoor Sessions
    Wednesday Sessions at Titwood
    5.30- 6.30 designed for the youngest kids aged between p1 - P6.
    6.30-8.30 session designed for developing players aged P7 and upwards

    Friday night training at Titwood
    These sessions are split into three; the first session is from 6.00 to 6.45pm and is designed for Primary 3-5 children; the second session is from 6.45 to 8.00 for Primary 6 to Senior 1 children; the final session from 8.00 to 9.30 is for Senior 2 to Senior 6 students.

    There is an advanced session on Tuesday night at Titwood from 6.30 pm to 8.00pm designed for those juniors who are already playing senior hockey.

  • Mini Outdoor Festivals at Titwood

    Beyond training Clydedale beileve that games actively encourage players to achive higher levels of performance and are an important part of player developement. Clydesdale supports the West District Hockey's junior hockey festivals that are hosted at Titwood on Sunday mornings and involve all ages groups including; under 10s, under 12s and under 14s who each play on a fortnighly basis. Details of the exact dates are below.

    We would be delighted to hear from parents who would be willing to help with organising the junior's at these events. Support will be provided.
  • West District Hockey
    Further competition is available through the west District under 14 League. This league is made up of teams of players selected at trails held in September 2010.

  • Under 16 National League

    Clydesdale have entered boys and girls teams into the SHU's nation under 16s League. These games will be played in Stirling and the league has teams from Aberdeen , Dundee, Edinburgh, all over the country and is a great opportunity to play against their own peer group.

    U16 National League

  • Under 18 National Cups
    Clydesdale have entered boys and girls teams into the SHU's nation under 18's Cups. These games will be played at various centers over the season against school and club teams from all over Scotland.

  • The kids may meet new friends and will now have to look at the latest mobile phones to stay in touch.

  • Hockey Camp dates.
    During the school holidays Clydesdale run hockey camps to promote the sport , developd skills and have fun.
  • The times for the camps are: morning 10am start - lunch noon to 1pm - afternoon 1pm to 3pm - extra time available on request.

    Arran Weekend Dates 2010 Tournament
    The Youth tournament in Arran is on 4th and 5th September 2010.
    This is a fun event for under 10's, 12's and 14's with entertainment for all on the Saturday evening.
    This will be the 7th year of this event which has grown in popularity mainly because it is such great fun for the kids and parents alike. For more details please contact me. D Mackie

  • Clydesdale in partnership with Glasgow are to launch 2 new Junior Clubs
    St Fillan's (near Castlemilk) has started on Wednesdays (6:00pm to 7:00pm) and
    St Bernard's Primary School (Nitshill) on Thursdays (6:00pm to 7:00pm)
    These new clubs are the start of a major push to get more school kids participating in the sport of hockey. Clydesdale are delighted to work with Culture and Sport, Glasgow in these new developments.
