Pitch Funding Update

The club had a meeting with Sport Scotland that was very positive on the presentation for our level 2 application. This is likely to be approved within 6 weeks of submission. This would secure the funding from this source. There will still be some discussion over the final detail but this is a huge step forward in the financial position.

At the current estimates for the cost of the pitch replacement the committee estimate the balance of funds required to be raised to be in the region of £25,000. The committee seek this funding to be raised over the next 6 months. There are still pitch squares available and watch out for other fund raising events that you can help with over the coming months.

The club are likely to begin work on the bore hole after the cricket season is over in preparation for next year. The laying of the pipe work for the watering system could start as early as March 2011 with work on the pitch itself starting within 2 months thereafter.

If you can help with fund raising please contact one of our committee members. Please remember the sooner the funds are raised the sooner we can place the contracts for work to be scheduled.

Ladies Fun Tournament Sunday 15th August 2010 @ Titwood

With the merger of Glasgow Western Ladies with Clydesdale this is seen as an important start to the new season to bring together the two groups of players. It will also help selectors understand the playing capabilities of the individuals.

Arran Weekend Dates announced for 2010 Tournament

The Youth tournament in Arran will be on 4th and 5th September 2010.

This is a fun event for under 10's, 12's and 14's with entertainment on the Saturday evening.

1/1/11 New Year's Day Hockey

The traditional New Year's Day game will take place at Titwood. The meet time is 12.30pm for a start time of 2.00pm. Lateness will be dealt with in the traditional manner. Teams will be selected on the day. A team sheet will appear on the notice board nearer to the event so sign up to ensure a place!
