Nicky Skrastin, Catriona Ralph, Holly Cram, and Susan McGilveray bagged the goals. The decisive spell can in the second half when from 1-3 down the girls stormed into a 5-3 lead before Sam Judge reduced the deficit to one with 10 minutes to go but the girls held out to the end.

Boys U18 Scottish Cup

Plate Weekend 15 April 2013 Peffermill

This was a 3 way round robin involving Clydesdale, Gordonians and Perthshire.

Clydesdale played Perthshire first and won 2-1 with goals from Lewis Crawford and Patrick Lonergan. Ominously Gordonians beat the same opposition 9-0! The boys then played Gordonians in what was effectively a plate final. The teams swapped goal in the first half, John Joe Lonergan scoring for Clydesdale but Jamie Wong put  Gordonians ahead just before half time. Gordonians took their chances and were 4-1 up with 10 minutes to go. The boys heads did not go down and a revival in fortunes saw Leon Hay and Patrick Lonergan get two goals back but it was too late to get back onto level terms.

First Round  16th September 2012  Peffermill

The format was three 40 minute games vs Kelburne, Inverleith and Cala at Perfermill. On a wet and windy day Clydesdale went down 2-3 to Kelburne after twice leveling the game the team eventually lost out in a close match, with Ross Leslie and Patrick Lonergan scoring.

In the second game vs Inverleith Clydesdale started very brightly and were 1-0 up at half time through Ross Leslie. A concentration lapse let Inverleith turn this game around with three quick goals in the middle of the second half and a fourth towards the end of the game.

In the final game Clydesdale ran out 5-0 against a very young Cala team, Patrick Lonergan hatrick being the highlight with  John Joe Lonergan and Ross Leslie also scoring. Clydesdale u18 boys will contest in the plate competition later in the season.

Boys U16 Cup

Finals 10th March 2013 Peffermill

During the first game vs Perthsire the snow come down resulting in  a 50 minute break to see if the pitch would clear. Almost predictably the result was 0-0!  Game two vs Aberdeen Grammar saw the boys much less distracted and run out 3-0 winners before going on to beat Strathallan 1-0 and Watsonsians 2-1 to finish the round robin unbeaten. This put the boys in a final against Watsonians who had finished second in the league. The final was very even and as the hail fell from the sky and after two frozen kookaburras exploded  it was Watsonians who ran out 2-1 winners. Shame the boys played very well and it was two very even teams that had contested both games.

Qualification – Lagoon Paisley January 2013

Clydesdale boys qualified for the u16 cup through winning the West District U16 indoor championship. This was done with round robin wins against Hillhead and Kelburne and a draw vs Wildcats setting up a final vs Wildcats. In the final the boys were able to break down Wildcats tenacious defense and Murray McDairmids good keeping to win through as the west representatives.
