Clydesdale Western suffered a narrow 2-1 loss to their rivals Edinburgh Uni in the final of the Scottish Cup at Glasgow Green today.
During a bright start to the game Clydesdale Western took the lead through Lucy Lanigan. Edinburgh Uni made it level before half time with a goal scored by Zara Malseed after good work from Louise Campbell.
In the second half the students started brighter and Zara Malseed scored a second goal for Uni. Clydesdale Western pressed hard for an equaliser and had a few chances that they were unable to convert.
Congratulations to Edinburgh Uni for a winning the league and cup double.
Attention now focuses on European Play offs over the weekend 5-6th May. Clydesdale Western face Grove at 15.00 GHK.
